I read your previous article and some of the responses you received. I was very touched by your story and I thought you were extremely brave to publish it. You raise the very important issue of pedophilia on the internet and I can’t understand why anyone would choose to defend those men you encountered online.

My only thought is that maybe not everyone understood you were writing the story from the point of view of your 13 year old self and not from a place of what you “understand from men” now as an adult.

I also admire how you address these comments in this article. I think people need to remember that apples are not oranges, of course when someone tells a story involving pedophiles, clearly that person is not assuming all men are pedophiles.

Thank you for sharing your story, it’s an important one. I admire your courage and vulnerabity in the way you’ve written it.
